Trimble has announced a partnership with mobile app developer TDC Group, creator of Freeance software.
Under the new partnership, TDC will integrate high accuracy positioning capabilities in its Freeance mobile applications by implementing the Trimble Precision SDK (software development kit), to run on tablets and smartphones with Trimble GNSS receivers.
Trimble says this will equip field crews with powerful and configurable mobile apps for data collection and site inspection.
“Trimble recognises the value our GIS software partners bring to our customers by delivering targeted, industry-specific solutions,” said Stephanie Michaud, strategic marketing manager, Trimble Survey & Mapping Field Solutions.
“We’re very pleased to collaborate with TDC and leverage their domain expertise, and to integrate Trimble technology into the Freeance solution for the utilities and public works markets. As a direct result of this relationship, Freeance users can now work with the confidence of knowing their field workflows are precision-enabled with Trimble GIS technology.”
Trimble R1 and Trimble R2 GNSS receivers are available through Trimble Geospatial Distribution Partners, and Freeance apps are available through TDC.
