Position Partners has announced the new Topcon LZ-T5 laser transmitter for millimetre GPS will replace the PZL-1 laser transmitter from 30 June 2015 across Australia. The LZ-T5 uses patented zone-beam laser technology that continuously provides high accuracy elevation information to improve GNSS positioning.
The LZ-T5 laser transmitter is designed for use with Topcon’s Millimetre GPS precision positioning system. Position Partners has stated that the new transmitter allows traditional GPS measurement and machine control systems to improve in vertical accuracy by up to 400%. It also incorporates new design and operational technology that enhance its performance in fluctuating temperatures and adverse weather conditions.
The LZ-T5 is Topcon’s latest upgrade for its Lazer Zone system, which combines advanced laser technology with the accuracy of a robotic total station and GNSS positioning into a single job site.
