SuperGeo Technologies has announced the establishment of a new spinoff company known as Environmental Management Consultant Technologies, to provide specialised environmental consulting services using GIS technologies.

The newly established company consists of a former project team within SuperGeo that focuses on consulting services in the fields of environment, public health and agriculture.

Its main clients are government departments, including the Department of Health, the Endemic Species Research Institute and the Environmental Protection Bureau.

This is the third spinoff company from SuperGeo Technologies. The first company, TMS Technologies, focused on the consulting and implementation services regarding Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), Telematics and ICT.

Following that, SMAP Technologies was spun off. SMAP is now a reputed provider for the digital geographic data, LBS and Internet maps in Taiwan and Southeaster Asia.

Davis Xu will be the chief executive and president of EMCT.

Xu has over 15 years experience in GIS systems, and will steer the organisation so it continues to offer specialised project services in natural resources management, ecology, and public health, all structured on SuperGeo technologies.
