The Spatial Industries Business Association (SIBA) has elected Glenn Cockerton from Spatial Vision as a new member of its board for 2010.

Cockerton is managing director of Spatial Vision and has previously been an industry representative on the Victorian Spatial Council as well as a director of SIBA’s previous incarnation, the Australian Spatial Information Business Association (ASIBA).

Current board members Brett Bundock, managing director of ESRI Australia, and George Havakis, managing director of Workforce Solutions, have both been re-elected to the board for a second three-year term.

SIBA’s chief executive officer David Hocking welcomed the appointments.

“Glenn is the first previous board member to decide to stand again and both Brett and George are taking on a second three-year term as directors, which demonstrates the commitment of members to serve the industry and make a difference,” he said.

Paul Farrell, managing director of NGIS, is leaving the board after concluding his two three-year terms as a director and more recently as chairman of the board.

The board will elect its executive at its meeting on 5th October 2010 in Canberra.
