Mr Woodgate is Foundation Chair of the Global Spatial Network (GSN), a member of the Executive Committee of the International Society of Digital Earth; Director of the Terrestrial Ecosystems Research Network ; Board member of AUSCOPE and Board Member of the UNESCO International Centre on Space Technologies for Natural and Cultural Heritage (HIST), based in China.

CRCSI, works across Australia and New Zealand with investment partners, on advanced capabilities for improving the use of global navigation satellite systems, satellite and airborne image analysis and the use of spatial data. The organisation is also a proud supporter of Locate14 Conference.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Mr Christopher Tucker
Topic: Crowdsourcing, Storytelling, and Making History: Building a New Spatio-Temporal Dimension to the Global Data Commons

Mr Tucker is the founder and CEO of MapStory (U.S.) and serves, or has served, in a variety of corporate, non-profit and government Boards including the US Geospatial intelligence Foundation, the Open Geospatial Consortium, Open Plans, the National Geospatial Advisory Committee, and the Defense Science Board Intelligence Task Force.

He also has experience in taking start-ups to acquisition in his role of President and CEO of a high-technology firm in the area of geospatial intelligence, and currently manages Yale House Ventures with a portfolio of technology companies and social ventures.

MapStory, is an innovative global community where users create visual presentations on local, regional and global issues and changes, utilising traditional static mapping and spatial data. The program enables collaboration with multiple parties with knowledge on the topic and each MapStory is available to other users to grow their presentation.

Locate14 is a combination of three previous national events – the spatial@gov Conference, the Surveying & Spatial Sciences Conference (SSSC) and the Asia- Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards (APSEA) combining to form a single premier Australian and New Zealand industry event.
