Position Partners Joins Pointools Sales Partner Program

Position Partners Pty Ltd., an Australian provider of positioning and machine control solutions for land management, civil works and building activities, has joined the Pointools Partner Program in Australia.

Pointools software enables project teams to reference and reuse point cloud models – the billions of measurement points taken by 3D laser scanners – inside a broad range of applications.

Pointools offerings include stand-alone applications, CAD software plug-ins, and a third-party technology platform for point cloud processing and visualisation; uniquely enabling point cloud model reuse across Bentley, Autodesk, Safe Software, Rhino, and SketchUp applications without time-consuming translation.

“This new partnership builds upon our existing relationships with Topcon in other parts of the world,” enthused Joe Croser, Vice President of Products at Pointools. “Topcon’s 3d laser scanning technology is among the best available, and is very popular with our software users. We are delighted to welcome the Position Partners team to our sales partner network in Australia.”

The Pointools suite of software is used by architects, engineers, contractors and surveyors to leverage the same Pointools POD file format across multiple industries and workflows, including AEC, art & entertainment, forensics, GIS & mapping, heritage, infrastructure, manufacturing, mining, power & utilities, and security & defence.
