OpenSpatial ACDC

Open Spatial has announced the release of ‘As Constructed Design Certification’ (ACDC) version 4.0. ACDC manages project submittal data, validates its quality and transforms it into geospatial and asset management systems.

This latest release focuses on compatibility, user experience and functionality. Improvements include an enhanced ‘Configurator’, which features an intuitive automatic editing mode and additional feedback checks to ensure its accuracy. Toolbar icons, tool tips, command line feedback and error messages have been reviewed and revised to provide a more streamlined user experience. Additional new features include date range validation, improved data types for more accurate data mapping and a SHP data connection which allows read/write access to spatial and attribute data.

“ACDC saves time and provides value to organisations by enabling the validation of CAD data before submittal, and then automating the direct loading of spatial and attribute data into GIS using pre-configured or user defined standards,” remarked Colin Hobson, director of Open Spatial.

ACDC 4.0 supports the latest platform releases from Autodesk, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Windows, and can be used with the Autodesk 2013, 2014 & 2015 suite of products. Oracle 12c, SQL Server 2012 & 2014, and Windows 8 are also supported by ACDC.
