NSW Atlas to go online

By on 7 December, 2010

The Land and Property Management Authority plans to launch a free online version of its latest mapping product – the NSW Atlas – by the end of the year.

The online atlas will provide users with a fast and convenient way to access information about the state’s natural and built environment, and political history.

Based on the hardcopy version of the NSW Atlas, the new online atlas will also incorporate the former NSW Electoral Atlas.

The online version will enhance the text and images of the NSW Atlas through the use of interactive diagrams and maps that show changes to land over time and other web-based tools such as search, pan and zoom functions.

The department will release more details on the atlas on 15 January.
