Telematics provider Trimble has appointed a regional sales manager to look after the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Mark Cuggy has taken up the post and will be tasked with driving revenue growth across the region.

Cuggy, who most recently finished a nine-year stint at Hewlett Packard, will be based in Sydney and will report to Business Area Director Tom Scahill.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mark as the newest member of our team,” Scahill says.

The California-headquartered Trimble in August last year brought its fleet management system to Australia and established a new transport and logistics division covering the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Trimble provides on-board computers, wireless communication services and web-based back-office applications, and recently acquired UK-based Penmap Software to expand its applications for the survey and cadastral markets.

Penmap.com’s solutions include both office and field data collection software specifically designed for the cadastral and surveying markets. The comprehensive software suite enables Trimble to further address local application requirements and customer needs by providing complete customised surveying software solutions for the cadastral market. Financial terms were not disclosed.
