A final call has been issued for geospatial sector members to participate in the September 2024 Inclusive Employer Index Survey, with only one week remaining to take part.

The anonymous survey, conducted in partnership with the Diversity Council of Australia (DCA), is a cross-sector initiative that aims to track progress in diversity and inclusion since the 2021 industry baseline was established (via a similar survey) for Australia and New Zealand.

“We’ve already had over 600 responses, but the more people we hear from, the better quality our data will be,” said Stella Blake-Kelly, Chair of the Inclusive Employer Index Survey Research Steering Committee.

“The results will enable us to develop actionable insights that benefit the entire industry.”

Emerging insights from participants include:

  • 54 countries of birth;
  • 55 languages spoken;
  • 45 religions;
  • 9 in 10 have flexible working;
  • 1 in 3 are likely to find a new employer within the next year.

The survey takes just 10 to 15 minutes to complete and is open to anyone working, studying or participating in the space, spatial and surveying sectors, regardless of job title or background.

If your network prevents access to the link, you can download an interactive pdf instead.

The deadline is 30 September, with participants going in a draw to win a ticket to the Locate25 conference or a NASA Lego Set.

All responses are confidential, and only aggregated data will be reported. No individual responses will be linked to any participant.
