Last chance for YEP grants for FIG/Locate25

The deadline for young and emerging professional (YEP) grant applications to attend the combined FIG Working Week and Locate25 conferences, is rapidly approaching.

The deadline for applications is Monday, 10 March 2025.

Each successful grant will cover full registration conference (to be held in Brisbane from 6-10 April 2025), flights and four nights’ accommodation.

Grant recipients will be able to attend the Welcome Reception and choose between attending either the Geospatial Council of Australia (GCA) Annual Awards Dinner or the Gala Dinner.

There are 10 grants available — five for Queensland-based applicants and five for those from other Australian states or territories.

To be eligible, applicants must be aged 36 or under and employed in the geospatial industry, or be an early career academic within five years of being awarded a PhD.

The grants are offered by the GCA in partnership with The Surveyors Trust.
