GeoNext 2013 will feature a panel of experts discussing the relationship between policy, government, and free access to data.

The panel session is supported by Office of Spatial Policy – Dept Resources, Energy and Tourism, and will be chaired by Maurits van der Vlugt, spatial information strategist.

Last year’s panel (pictured), entitled ‘Knowing where you are – Commercial opportunities arising from knowing the location of the consumer at the point of sale,’ was one of the highlights of the 2012 event, and covered, among other topics, the rise of NFC, and its potential not just in information sharing – including its placement on billboards – but also its potential in monetised games, from three different perspectives.

This year’s panel will be no less insightful. Don’t miss out.
