Geospatial sector members and employees are being invited to take part in a survey to ascertain how diverse and inclusive, or otherwise, the sector is.

The 2024 Inclusive Employer Index Survey — an initiative of Trans-Tasman peak-organisations and business leaders — is being run with the Diversity Council of Australia, and seeks to help increase inclusivity in the space, spatial and surveying sectors.

Participation in the survey is being sought from all sector members, regardless of job title, status or background.

The data gathered will help to assess if any progress has been made since the initial baseline survey was set in 2021.

The survey, which runs until 30 September, can be completed anonymously and takes only 10 to 15 minutes to fill out.

As an incentive, participants will have to option to enter a competition to win a ticket to the Locate25 conference, valued at $1,500, by taking and uploading a screenshot of the final survey page.

The results of the survey will be released in November, with recommendations for actions to follow in January 2025.
