IAG 2017 Conference @ The University of Queensland | Saint Lucia | Queensland | Australia

The Institute of Australian Geographers Conference (IAG2017) is the annual meeting of the Institute of Australian Geographers, a non-profit organisation representing geographers and aiming to promote and advance the discipline of geography. Participants from academic, non-profit, government, business, research, and other institutional backgrounds are encouraged to attend.

This year’s conference is being hosted by The University of Queensland on the St Lucia campus. This year’s conference theme is ‘Geography Counts’, stressing the role of geography in informing policy from a holistic, global perspective. The organisers have stressed the breadth of the discipline, and welcome participation across all sub-disciplines, and from those using a diversity of methodologies. They hope that both geographers and non-geographers from Australasia and beyond attend and contribute.
