Webinar: Streamlining Large Photogrammetric Projects with Correlator3D @ Webinar

The processing of large projects (e.g. 20,000 images @ 250 megapixels) presents huge challenges to the mapping industry. This training session will discuss how to implement an optimal workflow with Correlator3D, using the proper level of automation and hardware resources.

Specifically, attendees will learn about practical solutions for
different real-world scenarios:

1) Multi-mission projects
2) Large format camera project
3) Continuous stream of projects
4) Single project with multiple discontinuous areas

Cost: free
Limited spots available and filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

15TH SOUTH EAST ASIA SURVEY CONGRESS @ Darwin Convention Centre
Aug 15 @ 2:32 am – Aug 18 @ 3:32 am
15TH SOUTH EAST ASIA SURVEY CONGRESS @ Darwin Convention Centre

JOIN OVER 500 SURVEYORS IN THE LAND DOWN UNDER

It is anticipated that over 500 surveyors across Asia Pacific region will attend this international congress and this will include surveyors from across SE Asia, The Pacific, Australia and New Zealand. The conference will focus on how surveying remains relevant to the needs of society through working collaboratively to meet the future technical, social and environmental challenges in digitally connected surroundings.

This is the first time since Fremantle in 1999, that Australia has hosted a joint international congress with the ASEAN Flag Surveying nations. SEASC 2019 DARWIN is a fantastic opportunity for all Surveyors in the Asia Pacific to demonstrate leadership in their field and share knowledge in one the fastest growing regions of the world.

The Congress is open to all professionals across various disciplines and will strive to have the Territorian spirit of unity and active participation in a friendly and casual atmosphere. Save $330 when you register before May 2019 for this 3-4 day Congress. A major trade exhibit is planned for the event which will attract the latest in surveying technology from the region and the world.

Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute (SSSI) is now looking to members of all surveying industry and professional associations from across the region to join with them to organise an outstanding trade exhibit and technical and social program for delegates and visitors for this unique opportunity for surveyors in our region.

If your organisation would like to be a part of this opportunity, please contact Robert Sarib of the SSSI Land Surveying Commission.

The Technical Program Team has been drawn from the many disciplines from across the surveying and spatial sciences and has a wealth of experience, unique talents, and ideas but more importantly understands the needs of delegates. This mix of experience will ensure we provide a relevant and vibrant program for delegates that will include symposia, panel sessions and workshops.

We are aiming to provide a collaborative forum where professionals from the various disciplines can share ideas and further their knowledge especially in the areas where there is integration, synergy and shared vision. In order to develop and deliver content that is relevant and of benefit and interest to delegates we are seeking 3-4 ‘hot’ or highly relevant topics from you that we can consider for inclusion in the program.

We also welcome your ideas for technical topics that integrate our various disciplines and /or themes for workshops or forums; think different – fusion of disruptive technologies, creative solutions, breakthrough innovation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration and learning.

We look forward to your contribution!

Advancements in Building Design and Pedestrian Simulation (Brisbane) @ Hilton Brisbane
Aug 20 @ 8:00 am – 10:30 am
Advancements in Building Design and Pedestrian Simulation (Brisbane) @ Hilton Brisbane

Join us at this breakfast and learn as we take a look at how Bentley continues to break down barriers and streamline multidisciplinary design with its recently launched OpenBuildings Station Designer CONNECT Edition. OpenBuildings Station Designer supports the design, analysis, visualisation and simulation of new or existing rail, metro or other transit stations with asset-specific content and workflows.

With the incorporation of industry leading simulation software LEGION, within OpenBuildings Station Designer, designers can model and simulate pedestrian scenarios and thereby support improving functional use of space, wayfinding strategies, and passenger experience and throughput. LEGION can be applied to sport stadiums, airports, shopping malls, and virtually and other place where people converge.

Furthermore, keeping in line with Bentley’s Open modelling environment, OpenBuildings Station Designer enables iterative digital workflows spanning Bentley’s Connected Data Environments.

All this makes OpenBuildings Station Designer a powerful solution to consider for your next project. Reserve your seat today.

In this event, you will learn about:

  • Key industry trends and how you can leverage them
  • Key capabilities of OpenBuildings Station Designer and how it can be applied to various building projects
  • Pedestrian modelling and simulation using LEGION
  • Working with other disciplines and leveraging Bentley’s open connected data environment.
