The Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial (FOSS4G) conference series, hosted in partnership with OSGeo, brings together open source geospatial users, software developers, decision makers and researchers from around the world.
The FOSS4G 2025 conference in Auckland, New Zealand, will be a vibrant gathering that fosters collaboration and celebrates innovation in the exciting world of free and open source software for geospatial.
The event will feature workshops, technical sessions, keynote addresses, ‘lightning talks,’ code sprints and community events, social events and a ‘women in geospatial’ breakfast.
It is expected that the full program will be made available in August 2025.
Geo Week 2026 will bring together geospatial and mapping professionals to explore how data, maps, and advanced technologies can deepen our understanding of the world and inform solutions to complex challenges.
Designed for decision-makers and problem-solvers, the conference program will feature case studies, expert panels and roundtable discussions for the canvassing of ideas and predictions from a variety of experts: innovators, end-users, regulators and others.
The associated exhibition will showcase the latest solutions for the geospatial sector and the built world one roof, including BIM, advanced airborne/terrestrial technologies, and commercial 3D technologies.
The Australasian Hydrographic Society’s (AHS) internationally recognised hydrographic conference program will return in 2026, beginning with the Hydrospatial 2026 Conference.
The conference will be held from 23 to 26 March 2026 at Shed 6 in Wellington, New Zealand.
With a theme of ‘Shaping the Future of Marine Discovery,’ the event will bring together professionals and thought leaders from across government, defence, research, industry and academia to explore the evolving role of hydrography.
The four-day program will feature keynote speakers, technical sessions, panel discussions, exhibitions, and networking opportunities across six key themes:
- Advances in hydrographic technology and autonomous systems
- Blue Economy and sustainable maritime development
- Coastal infrastructure, ports and harbour innovation
- Climate change, oceanography and marine environmental science
- Law of the Sea, sovereignty and maritime domain awareness
- Hydrospatial data for marine policy, planning and heritage
