The Institution of Surveyors NSW (ISNSW) 2024 Annual Conference will be held over two days in February in the picturesque Blue Mountains, NSW.
Presented as a hybrid event, attendees will have the choice to join online or in person. Speakers will present on a wide range of topics, giving delegates the chance to hear from the industry’s best and network with them.
The event is open to ISNSW members as well as non-members.
The Remote Hydrography conference and exhibition brings together manufacturers, operators, regulators, and research and development leaders from both industry and academia, within the field of remote surveying and uncrewed survey operations.
Remote Hydrography 2024 provides an opportunity to share experience gained in the development and application of autonomous and uncrewed platforms (surface, underwater, aerial and space-based) and the associated command and support services.
These and enabling technologies like machine learning and artificial intelligence will revolutionise workflows for hydrographic data collection, processing, analysis and presentation.
C.R. Kennedy will be holding a national ‘Modern Methods of Construction Roadshow’ throughout late-February, March and April 2024, highlighting the ways in which the latest software, tools and technology are enabling businesses to streamline their operations.
Attendees will be treated to:
- A presentation on managing digital data workflow using BricsCAD, and the Leica iCON Total Station for efficient construction set out.
- A case study from a company using Leica technology.
- Information from Leica on some of the latest technologies in high-definition 3D laser scanning for accurate reality capture.
- Details of the latest underground detection technologies, such as locators and ground penetrating radar.
- Presentations on the latest in rotating lasers and handheld laser distance measurers (Leica distos) for quick and easy measurements.
- A look at how BricsCAD software can be used with each of these technologies to help bring all data and projects seamlessly together.
Time will be set aside for discussion, and demonstrations of each of the products will be made after the presentations.

The 3rd International Land Management Conference, hosted by the University of the West of England, will be held online on 14 and 15 March 2024. The event will bring together experts and professionals in land management to discuss inclusive land tenure, efficient land markets, sector reform and innovations in land research.
The conference will focus on four themes:
- Theme 1: Can we build more inclusive and resilient land tenure systems by understanding social value and climate change?
- Theme 2: How can land administration systems contribute to efficient and equitable land markets?
- Theme 3: What approaches can Development Partners use to help achieve more successful Land Administration sector reform?
