AIIA IoT MER: The Smart Mining Conference @ City Suites, Adelaide Convention Centre

Details

Join us at The Smart Mining Conference to hear from industry leaders in mining, energy and technology, to see how they have created Australia’s best applications and solutions; pushing us to continue to lead the way.

Technology is changing our extractive industries resulting in societal benefits. This unique program blends development processes, opportunities, deployments and best practice, as seen through the lens of the resources sector.

During the conference, AIIA will launch its latest research into Digital Mining & Digital Oilfield. Our Keynote Speaker for this event is Mary Hackett, CEO for Baker Hughes, a GE Company (BHGE).

The technical program, chaired by Steve Lechowicz (Santos Predictive Analytics Lead) provides:

  • Leading industry views on technology – direct from resources, energy and METS organisations
  • Views from the renewables sector
  • Best practice in user interface and personnel considerations
  • Advanced technology to aid collaboration
  • Project management for advanced analytics programs
  • Product scalability
  • IoT in resources
  • Technology in copper projects.

The day starts with Dan Levy (More Space for Light) hosting an over-coffee masterclass on digital strategy, and culminating with the Smart Data Challenge where three teams will pitch their product development concepts to an expert panel.

Geospatial World Forum 2018 @ Hyderabad, India

You might have heard that new technologies and innovations are merging the physical, digital and biological worlds in ways that will fundamentally transform humankind. The 4th industrial revolution is coming! And it will witness innovations in areas such as autonomous cars, smart robotics, and a manufacturing process built around 3D printing. Location technology will play a major role in this revolution.

This fresh wave of change is going to have a major impact on the world including the geospatial industry. Which is why Geospatial World Forum 2018 is going to revolve around the theme “Geo4IR: Geo-enabling 4th Industrial Revolution”, to establish the connection between geospatial technology and the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR). The event will transport the attendees to the era of 4IR through informative sessions and stimulating discussions, and an exciting display of futuristic technologies.

The most awaited annual geospatial conference is scheduled to take place from January 16-19, 2017, in Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Hyderabad, India. For 9 glorious years, the platform has successfully highlighted the true potential of geospatial technology across multiple sectors and industries. Thought leaders from across the globe will share various case studies and ideas on how integration of location intelligence and geospatial technology works with IOT, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence.

GWF 2018 will host four stand-alone conferences. Take a look:

  • GeoBuiz Summit 2018: “Breaking the silo mentality”. GeoBuiz will be a unique platform for understanding the collaborative environment between industry, multilateral and government organizations. It will also highlight the evolving trends, market behavior, etc.
  • Location World: “Business without location is not a business anymore”. At Location World, the business community will come together to talk about collaboration, changing business models innovative products, and processes to stay current, responsive, and agile.
  • Geo4SDGs: “Sustainability starts here”. With the theme ‘Geo-knowledge conduit to SDGs success’, Geo4SDGs will engage stakeholders to understand the importance geospatial information for achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
  • GeoIntelligence: “Actionable Intelligence = Mission Success”, the Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) community will come together for insightful discussions and networking opportunity with the Defense and the Security sector.
