The Pacific Geospatial Conference 2022 will be held over four days from November 28 to December 2, in Suva, Fiji.

The conference is the largest event of its kind wherein Pacific Islander and related stakeholders can gather to share experiences and knowledge in the development and use of GIS and remote sensing tools and products.

In 2022, for the first time, the event is combining with the Open Source Geospatial (OSGeo) Foundation and OpenStreetMap Foundation’s regional conference, ‘FOSS4G SoTM Oceania’.

The combined event will include presentations and workshops spotlighting the latest innovative technologies, promoting knowledge and capacity development and sharing of best practices. It typically attracts more than 300 attendees, including:

  • Users from federal and local government organisations, agencies and councils
  • Scientists from Pacific and other universities, as well as research institutes
  • Vendors of hardware, software, image data and services.
