Sydney-based geospatial solution provider 4DMapper has partnered with Maine firm Blue Marble Geographics to enhance their range of cloud-based hosting and analytics services for spatial data.
4DMapper’s custom applications will leverage Blue Marble GlobalMapper Software Development Kit (SDK) as the engine to power its suite of services, combined with the clout of Amazon Web Services (AWS) for its data-handling. 4DMapper claims that the use of AWS and GlobalMapper’s SDK offers their enterprise customers cloud-based performance comparable to the desktop version of GlobalMapper.
Services available to 4DMapper customers include LiDAR ground point identification and reclassification; DEM creation from a point cloud; custom contour generation; and delineation of ridgelines. Each of these workflows involves the uploading of the relevant source data and results in the creation of a derivative file that can be quickly and easily shared with a customer or client on a web browser.
