The panel for the supply of Spatial Imagery and Elevation Products (SI&EP) to the Victorian Government through a State Purchase Contract (SPC) expires on 30 September 2013, and will not be continued.

The new method for Victorian Government Departments to acquire SI&EP will be through the recently established eServices Register. The eServices Register consists of suppliers registered to provide services across various information communication technology related areas including SI&EP.

The Department of Environment and Primary Industries’ (DEPI) Coordinated Imagery Program (CIP) will start advertising projects through the Register from 1 October 2013.

Companies wishing to become suppliers for the eServices Register can now do so by going to the Victorian Government Purchasing Board website at www.procurement.vic.gov.au/eServices and navigating to the ‘Suppliers’ section to complete the registration process.

There are two categories relevant to SI&EP that companies should register for:

  • Aerial Photography Services (UNSPC 82131601)
  • Mapping (UNSPC 81151601)

When establishing a company profile on the register, there should be an opportunity to list additional company capabilities. These capabilities become searchable to prospective buyers. In addition to finding suppliers by company name, the CIP has identified three capabilities that it may use to search for companies:

  • Aerial Survey – Imagery;
  • Aerial Survey – Elevation;
  • Satellite Imagery

Companies may choose to include these in their listed set of capabilities.
