The program for the GeoNext 2014 conference has been released, and it’s full of interesting speakers at the forefront of next-gen geospatial tech.

In addition to the first announcement of speakers, which included presentations on building fine-grained transport networks, the politics of real-time public transport info, and the geekification of GIS; the second announcement, which included presentations on the sharing economy, and indoor-location; and the third announcement, which included presentations on spatial strategies for an ageing society, and social media during disasters, the program also reveals a session on new location perspectives in retail.

And this is just the first draft of the program – there are still further additions yet to be released.

In addition to the main conference, there will also be a series of complementary workshops, surrounding the main event, including one from NGIS Australia.

GeoNext 2014 will be held on the 26 February, at the Australian Technology Park in Sydney. More information, including the program, and registration to GeoNext and the pre-show forums, is available on the GeoNext website.

Sponsorships for GeoNext 2014 [PDF link] are still available.

The team at GeoNext will deliver a program and event that is fundamentally different to the existing industry and vendor events. They will work with you to build a sponsorship package that will directly leverage your organisational capabilities, strengths, and brand to make you part of the fabric and conversation before, during and after the event.
