The 2023 Victorian Geospatial Conference & Awards Dinner be an opportunity for Victorian professionals of all geospatial disciplines to come together to learn, connect and share, and also celebrate local excellence with the awards dinner in the evening.
This year’s program will feature three concurrent streams covering GIS, data, cadastral surveying, digital twins, remote sensing and more.
The Victorian Geospatial Excellence Awards dinner will take place from 6.00pm, immediately following the conference.

GeoSmart India returns in 2023 for its 23rd iteration, with a theme of ‘Geospatial Infrastructure and Digital Twins: Powering National Economy’.
This year, the focus will be on strengthening India’s ambition of becoming a trillion-dollar economy. Geospatial infrastructure and digital twins will play a pivotal role in empowering the nation’s economy, enabling measurement of what can be seen in order to make better decisions across all major sectors.
The Geospatial Council of Australia’s Western Australia Digital Twin Summit will be held on 15 November 2023.
The event will focus on Spatial Digital Twins, and attendees will hear the latest developments in this rapidly developing space from government, academia and private industry presenters.
The WA Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards dinner will also be held in conjunction with the conference, celebrating the outstanding work being undertaken across the region.

The IGNSS Association’s biennial international GNSS conference will return to UNSW Sydney from 7 to 9 February, 2024, where it will celebrate the first half-century of GNSS and look ahead to the next 50 years.
IGNSS 2024 will bring together experts, policy makers and emerging leaders from across the globe to examine the latest advances, present cutting edge research and discuss policy, market development and infrastructure.
The conference will also showcase Australia and New Zealand’s Southern Positioning Augmentation Network (SouthPAN), along with developments by other countries across the Asia-Pacific.

The 4th International Symposium on Applied Geoinformatics (ISAG2024), which will take place at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Wroclaw, Poland, on 9 and 10 May 2024. ISAG2024 is jointly organised by the Department of Geomatics Engineering, Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul, Türkiye, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Wroclaw, Poland and Technical University of Crete, Chania, Crete, Greece.
The aim of the 4th ISAG is to bring scientists, engineers and industry researchers together to exchange and share their experiences and research results and discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted in geoinformatics.
Topics to be covered include recent advances in AI, satellite imagery, advanced remote sensing, photogrammetry, image processing, global navigation satellite systems, height systems, terrestrial laser scanning, GIS, smart cities and land management.
The ROTORTECH Helicopter and Uncrewed Flight Exposition is the premier industry event for the Helicopter/Rotary Wing and RPAS/UAV/eVTOL community in Australia, New Zealand and the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
Held by AMDA Foundation with input from major industry supporter the Australian Helicopter Industry Association, ROTORTECH 2024 will provide a vital interface between industry, regulators and government, including:

The event will conclude with the 2024 Victorian Geospatial Excellence Awards ceremony, to be held at the River’s Edge Events venue, directly across the Yarra River from the Convention Centre. The awards will celebrate achievements and innovations by individuals and organisations within Victoria’s geospatial sector.

The 17th South East Asia Survey Congress (SEASC 2024) is a premier gathering of geodetic engineers, professionals and experts from across Southeast Asia. This year’s event will be held in the Philippines, a nation rich in geographical diversity and a hub for geospatial and geomatics advancements.
Themed ‘Global Excellence in the Geospatial Profession for the Next Industrial Revolution,’ SEASC 2024 promises to be an intellectually stimulating and enriching experience, bringing together experts to share their knowledge, insights, and innovations in the wide-ranging fields of geodesy, geospatial science and geomatics.
In recognition of the needs of the global community, SEASC 2024 will be conducted in a hybrid format to ensure inclusivity and accessibility, allowing both in-person and online attendees to participate fully.
FOSS4G Perth is a local, community-driven gathering of the Perth open geospatial community, focused on sharing news of developments in free and open-source software for geospatial applications.
The event will be an opportunity to share ideas about open-source tools, such as QGIS, PostGIS, OpenStreetMap, Sentinel-2 satellite imagery, Python-based Earth observation libraries and frameworks, GDAL, and many others.
This year’s event will be held in conjunction with the ISPRS Technical Commission IV Symposium.

Held every three years, the European Space Agency (ESA) Living Planet Symposium brings together diverse communities with a common interest in using Earth observation data, in a forum to meet and network with space professionals from a wide range of sectors.
Living Planet Symposium 2025 will have an emphasis on transitioning from ‘Observation to climate action and sustainability for Earth’.
The event will provide a forum to discuss the latest findings and applications based on satellite data, and to review the contribution that data and technologies have made and could further make in addressing environmental and societal challenges.
The symposium will also provide a chance for showcasing innovative products, services, missions and initiatives, with the overarching goal of demonstrating how science, society, policy-making, businesses and the economy can all benefit from observations made from space.
