RPAS in Australia Skies is back for 2023. The conference is the Australian Association for Uncrewed Systems’ (AAUS) main event for the year and has established itself as a landmark event for the Australian drone industry, drawing interest from key government personnel, representatives from the regulatory and safety bodies, defence force, RPAS and UTM representatives, end users and academia.
The hybrid event will take place over two days and will include a combination of presentations and interactive panel discussions.

Hydrographers and all those with an interest in hydrography and related disciplines, are invited to attend a World Hydrography Day 2023 Seminar in Suva, Fiji, on 22 and 23 June.
The seminar will be held jointly by the Australasian Hydrographic Society and the Fiji Hydrographic Service. The venue will be the Moana Anglican Services and Teaching Centre at St John the Baptist Theological College.

The theme for World Hydrography Day 2023 is ‘Hydrography: Contributing to the United Nations Ocean Decade’.
The seminar comes after a two-year pause due to the COVID pandemic and associated travel restrictions. It will provide an opportunity for professionals to network and share hydrospatial knowledge through presentations and discussion.
It is also intended that the presentations will highlight the empowerment of women within the hydrography field.

In 2024, the International GNSS Service (IGS) will celebrate 30 years of operational service, having commenced on 1 January 1994.
The University of Bern together with the partners from the CODE consortium — AIUB: Astronomical Institute of the University of Bern; swisstopo: Swiss Federal Office of Topography; BKG: Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy, Germany; IAPG/TUM: Institute for Astronomical and Physical Geodesy, Technical University of Munich — invites the GNSS community to celebrate the IGS’ third decade with a symposium and workshop in Bern, Switzerland.
The in-person event is planned for the week from 1 to 5 July in 2024 and will take place in two parts: symposium (1-4 July) and workshop (4-5 July).
The IGS is a service of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG), its Global Geodetic Observing System (GGOS), The International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG), and a network member of the International Science Council (ISC) World Data System (WDS).
The Geospatial Council of Australia’s Spatial Information Day will be an immersive journey into the dynamic world of geospatial data and technology.

The third International Association of Geodesy (IAG) Commission 4 Symposium will bring together scientists, researchers and professionals working in the broad field of positioning and its applications.
The symposium will serve as a platform for discussing research that leverages current and emerging positioning techniques and technologies. It aims to provide both practical and theoretical solutions across a wide range of topics.
Discussions will address both technical and institutional aspects of developing GNSS backup systems, integrated positioning solutions, resilient PNT systems, and emerging LEO-based PNT techniques. The symposium will also explore space weather monitoring and forecasting through both ground-based and space-based geodetic observations. The International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS) is the flagship conference of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society. The 45th IGARSS will be held in Brisbane from 3 to 8 August 2025.
The theme of IGARSS 2025 is ‘One Earth,’ and the symposium will address threats to our Earth and promote collaborative global solutions that use remote sensing technology. The event will have strong technical and social programs, and present opportunities for regional and global collaboration.

The 2025 Pacific GIS & Remote Sensing User Conference will be held in Suva, Fiji, from 24 to 29 November.
This is the largest annual GIS and remote sensing event held within the Pacific Island community, regularly bringing together more than 300 experts from government, academia and industry for five days of presentations and workshops.
The event will also include nightly social functions that will enable participants to relax and network in informal settings.
The conference is organised by the Pacific GIS and Remote Sensing Council.
Registration is open for the 2026 GEO Symposium and GEO-21 Plenary, which will take place from 26 to 28 May 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland.
Held under the theme of ‘Investing in Earth Intelligence for a Resilient Future,’ the event will convene governments, space agencies, research organisations, private sector innovators, and development partners to explore how Earth intelligence (EI) can drive transformative, resilient solutions for people and the planet at a pivotal moment in the implementation of GEO’s Post-2025 Strategy.
The sessions will highlight user-driven solutions, open data and open knowledge practices, co-designed products and services, emerging partnerships, and investment opportunities that advance EI and GEO priorities.
The event will be livestreamed, for which registration is not required.
