Cameron Waters and Gina Velde join the company’s executive team to bring expertise in geospatial business management, marketing and strategic HR.

Positioning technology company Position Partners has welcomed Cameron Waters, Business Manager Geospatial Systems, and Gina Velde, Marketing and Organisation Development Manager, to its executive leadership team.

“Cameron and Gina bring valuable knowledge and skills in their areas of expertise, with many years of industry and company experience,” said Martin Nix, CEO. “On behalf of the group, I congratulate them on this next step in their careers and welcome their contributions to our leadership team.”

Cameron Waters has more than 15 years’ experience in the geospatial industry and has worked for Position Partners since 2008, when the company formed from five state-based businesses. He has managed the survey systems product lines since 2013 and his new role will incorporate business development across traditional survey, Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) and other mass data capture technology, including 3D laser scanning.

“Geospatial technology is evolving at a rapid pace and used in a wide range of industries and applications,” Mr Nix added. “Cameron’s expertise at both a technical and commercial level will ensure Position Partners is well positioned to exceed our customers’ expectations.”

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Waters said:

There has never been a more exciting time to work in this industry, with technology challenging traditional workflows and helping people to work smarter, faster and more productively than ever before.”

“I look forward to helping the company pioneer better ways and deliver exceptional customer experiences in this space.”

Gina Velde has led the marketing communications team at Position Partners for six years, with almost 10 years’ experience of marketing in the positioning technology industry. In her new role, Ms Velde will continue to drive all marketing activity in addition to providing strategic HR leadership, having completed further studies in this field.

“Developing our people and ensuring we have the skills to meet our strategic objectives is of key importance,” Mr Nix said. “I am delighted that Gina is able to bring leadership in this area, along with her strong marketing skills, to ensure we are implementing best practice strategies to benefit our employees and communicate effectively to our customers.”

“In the six years I have been working at Position Partners, I have seen our company expand to include more people, in more countries, supporting more products and services than ever before,” Ms Velde said. “I am passionate about exploring ways to grow Position Partners as the brand customers want to partner with and employees are proud to work for.”

Mr Waters and Ms Velde remain based at Position Partners’ Perth and Sydney offices, respectively.
