Nicole Lockwood appointed chair of MNG board

 Nicole Lockwood has been appointed Chair of the MNG Board, bringing a unique set of development and infrastructure insights to the survey and spatial solutions specialist.

As Owner and Principal of Lockwood Advisory, Ms Lockwood provides strategic advice to government and the private sector in the areas of regional development, infrastructure and stakeholder engagement.

Ms Lockwood has a career spanning a range of fields including local government, regional economic development, law, events and corporate governance. She is currently a Board member of Internet of Things Alliance Australia, Water Corporation, Tourism WA and Infrastructure Australia. She is also the Chair of the Sienna Wood Joint Venture, the Freight and Logistics Council of WA and Deputy Chair of Leadership WA.

Ms Lockwood said joining the Board at MNG represented an exceptional opportunity to work in areas that she was passionate about, including the property sector and the creation of thriving communities.

“I am particularly looking forward to helping MNG explore government opportunities in urban and regional centres, as well as in the utilities sector and residential field,” Ms Lockwood said.

“Technology and how it creates social and economic opportunity is also something that is close to my heart. MNG invests heavily in research and development and that is one aspect that specifically attracted me to the Board position.

“The company is renown for its commitment to innovation and technological advancement and I am very much looking forward to seeing how its use of technology evolves,” Ms Lockwood said.

Scott Anderson, Managing Director and CEO of MNG, welcomed Ms Lockwood as Chair of the MNG Board and said the company was looking forward to gaining from her unique insights across a range of important sectors in Western Australia and Australia wide.

“Ms Lockwood brings an in-depth knowledge of government and private sector, regional development, infrastructure and stakeholder engagement that will help MNG personalise and tailor the services it provides,” Mr Anderson said.

Previously she was a Director at KPMG leading the government team in Management Consulting. Ms Lockwood lived in the Pilbara for seven years, where she was Chairman of the Pilbara Development Commission, a member of the WA Planning Commission, Director on the Horizon Power Board, and a councillor and Shire President of the Shire of Roebourne.

Nicole is a lawyer having worked in private practice, at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and as the Principal Solicitor of the Pilbara Community Legal Service.

MNG provides a complete spectrum of surveying and spatial solutions, including land development surveys, cadastral surveys, strata titles, resources and infrastructure surveys, 3D terrestrial and mobile laser scanning, advanced subsurface investigation, mapping services, hydrographic surveys and geographic information systems (GIS).
