Loc8 has won the CeBIT Award for Innovation 2015. The award was given for Loc8’s work with Australian company Programmed Facility Management to support the social housing sector in Australia and New Zealand. Over a period of 18 months, Loc8 consulted with governments and other agencies to build and test the concept. Loc8 invested significant resources and financial investments required to develop and commercialise the system.

This CeBIT Innovation Award is presented to the project that best demonstrates superior design and good usability delivered through software, hardware or applications. The Award was given at the Gala Dinner & Awards Night 2015 at Sydney’s global business technology event, CeBIT and was accepted by Co-Founders David Hodges (CEO) and Owen Batt (CTO).

“We’re extremely proud to win this award in such a contested, high calibre category. Every company seeks recognition for the innovation it creates. It’s innovation that differentiates us and it’s our innovation that means customers choose Loc8,” said Owen Batt, CTO, Loc8.

The CeBIT event also saw the company release Loc8 for Windows 8 as part of the industrial automation and mobility themes for 2015. Loc8 is originally from Melbourne and creates software for the rail, defence, aviation, mining, facilities and resources sectors to manage assets, maintenance and mobile field workers.
