In May 2011, Terranean Mapping Technologies was acquired by the international consultancy, RPS.
Reflecting this change, from 6 February 2012 Terranean has a new name – RPS. Terranean will become RPS’ Spatial Services specialists, operating as part of the broader Surveying and Mapping team.
RPS is an international consultancy providing local solutions in energy and resources, urban growth, infrastructure and environment.
The Terranean team remains the same, despite the name change. The acquisition has meant that the team is now part of a 900 strong workforce, in 25 locations across Australia and the Asia Pacific, and 4,500 people worldwide.
Joining RPS cements the close relationship between the two organisations, which has seen significant collaboration on projects over many years.
Terranean clients will continue to receive the same high quality of products and services, and benefit from access to a broader range of skills and experience.
Please note that while Terranean’s trading name has changed to RPS, its ABN and legal entity name remains the same (Terranean Mapping Technologies Pty Ltd, ABN 52 113 485 475).
